Quoted in NAPFA Advisor Magazine on Life and LTC Insurance Issues

The May 2017 issue of NAPFA Advisor Magazine featured a story about an advisor survey that showed how life and long term care insurances dominate discussions with their clients. Life and LTC insurance was discussed even more than health or homeowners’ insurance. Touching upon some of the complexities of these types of policies, Sheila noted:

“I like ‘pure’ low-cost insurance, but it seems that ‘investment’ types of insurance are proving to result in better retirement outcomes using recent research by Wade Pfau, Michael Kitces, et al. It’s against my natural inclinations, and I keep looking at the research.”
